It doesn’t get much more exciting than the first game of a brand new Texan Football Season! The Sophomore Texans looked to start their season with a victory over their cross-town rivals, the LaPorte Cowboys. Each year, both teams (and parents) look to this game for the bragging rights of the best aged level team in town. This year, the bragging rights clearly go to your Sophomore LaPorte Texans as they soundly defeated the Cowboys by a score of 21-0.
The Texans defense was outstanding! The Texans Wrecking Crew, led by defensive player of the week Eric Kendzior, held the Cowboys to 1 or less yards on 12 of the Cowboys 24 offensive plays! The Cowboys could only muster 1 first down and 49 yards the entire game!
Not to be outdone, the Texans offense, led by offensive players of the week, Lupe Gonzales and Austin Forkin, rolled up over 250 yards of offense! Lupe Gonzales had 10 rushes for 64 yards and 1 touchdown, while Austin Forkin had two catches for 28 yards. Coach Ray’s Hawgs opened up hole after hole for the offense to run through. This win over the Cowboys was a total team effort! Great job men!
This next Saturday, September 8th, the Beaumont Bulls roll into town after a first week victory over Barbers Hill Eagles. I am sure that trip back to

that was just total domination on every side of the ball. four dominate running backs and an awsome quaterback to go with them. a top notch defense for other teams to try to stop. it can't be done.
