Week Seven: LaPorte Texans –vs- SoHo Wildcats
Victory 28-0 Season Record – 7 wins 0 losses
What an awesome performance! After a somewhat shaky start, the Texans rolled over the South Houston Wildcats 28-0 this past Saturday morning. Coach Steve’s Defense not only held the Wildcats scoreless, it also held them to 0 first downs! What an awesome performance!
Can you believe our kick-off coverage? The Texans kicked the ball 5 times. Guess how many they covered and gave the ball back to the offense? Would you think one? How about two? Perhaps even three? Surely not four! Nope … they recovered all five kick-offs the Texans kicked! Coach Mark has coached his young men well! What an awesome performance!

We are seven weeks into an outstanding season and the Texans are still undefeated. While the boys give their all on the field each game and every practice, as parents we owe a debt of gratitude to the Coaching Staff of the Sophomore Texans. It all starts at the top with the Texans Athletic Director Howard “HoJo” Johnson and flows through Coach Ron and their dedication to excellence and playing by the rules. It is no accident that the Texans weren’t caught up in all of the forfeits for ineligible or overweight players. Coach Ron has kept the Sophomore Texans within every letter of the law. He also has assembled a great group of coaches in Coach Rae, Coach Steve, Coach Mark, Coach Shane, Coach Steven and Coach Terrebonne. Not only do these men coach our sons in football, they truly care that each player grows up to be a good young men. They truly do care about these kids! Gentlemen, we as parents thank you for your hard work and dedication!
This next week we will be traveling to play the Clear
